Matthew Insley is a local Mennonite pastor who works with youth and young adults. He is also a member of the St. Peter Claver Catholic Worker community in South Bend. He is involved with Reading for Life because it is a compassionate approach to moral education with at-risk kids. He also sees it as peace work, stepping in before a child becomes involved in the violence-saturated and oppressive system of incarceration in this country. When he’s not doing something else, Matthew can usually be found canoeing with his dog Rio.
